We had a sweet stay, lovely hosts and great breakfasts, but the location, although peaceful, was a bit tricky for getting around. Still, the en-suite was a dream!

Getting out of Friar Waddon Road was quite awkward due to poor visibility for oncoming traffic. while the bath was deep and delightful, the height made it challenging for shorter legs to get in and out comfortably. while the setting was lovely, the location required some patience in navigation.

A true gem for a peaceful getaway
During our 2-night stay, we felt completely at home. The room was bright, spacious, and so well appointed, we immediately relaxed. The ensuite had both a claw-foot tub and a separate shower, which was a delightful touch. Breakfast was a highlight, served with a great selection and cooked to order, all while overlooking the lovely garden. While the experience was almost perfect, I would have preferred a communal dining arrangement for more interaction with other guests.

great stay but a bit noisy
The room where we stayed was bright, spacious, and wonderfully appointed for comfort. Breakfast exceeded expectations, featuring a wide range of choices with high-quality ingredients cooked to order. The garden view from the dining room added an extra touch of serenity, making each meal feel special.
The noise from nearby traffic occasionally disturbed our peace.

The King Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a lovely claw-foot bathtub alongside a rain shower. Delicious breakfast options, including fresh fruit and a full English, fueled our days. The beautifully maintained gardens were a highlight, adding charm to the peaceful surroundings.
